Pete's approach to learners

Throwing stones at school in grade 3 got me a free pass directly to the principal's office.

The principal, Mr Rogers gave me math's questions as punishment.

The questions were difficult enough to challenge me and I got almost immediate feedback on my work, this motivated me greatly and I quickly developed a strong interest in math's. It turns out that my behavior on that day fortuitously transformed into a pivotal point in my learning trajectory.

I'm not a math's genius but I know my way around a scientific calculator.

Quickly assessing a student's current skill level is crucial.

Equally important is progressing at the correct pace so that the brain can organize information into longer term storage and ability to absorb what they just learned into what they can explain,
